Allen's Home in Hawaii - Show and Tell Friday

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday!  

I know almost everyone that visits my blog is into Shabby Chic style but this week I'm sharing my boyfriend's second home in Hawaii which is not Shabby Chic but it's an amazingly beautiful place that I think anyone could appreciate!  I've been here twice since March and I've shared some of it previously but today I thought I would share some more of it.  

It's a townhouse on a golf course and this is the pool area right next to the ocean!

So beautiful! I wish I were there right now! 

Warm tropical breezes...I can almost feel them looking at these photos!

There are beautiful flowers everywhere!

That building on the left is the workout room. We hit the treadmills and look out on the ocean. When we were there in March we saw so many whales but when we went back in May they were all gone.  I really wish I could always run on the treadmill overlooking the ocean but when I go to my gym at home it just overlooks the parking lot! 

This is Allen's living room.  It's very tropical. All his furnishings are Tommy Bahama.

This is the master bedroom (part of it anyway). I really need to get a wide-angle lens for my camera so I can get full shots!

This is the lanai off the master bedroom.  You can see the ocean off in the distance.  There is also another one off the dining room downstairs but I didn't get a photo of that one this time. It has a patio table and chairs and we eat breakfast out there every morning.

This is the seating area on the lanai off the master bedroom.  The chairs are facing the ocean.  You can see beautiful sunsets from here! 

Here is the master bathroom with a walk-in closet.

Allen's office is downstairs just off the entry way. Yes, he does work a little when we are in Hawaii but just a few hours in the morning. 

This is the guest bedroom upstairs.  I love this four-poster bed!

More of the living room. We don't watch TV when we are here though. I think we only watched one movie in the two weeks we were here this year and that's it!

I hope you enjoyed the little tour of Allen's home in Hawaii!  I can't wait to go back but I've used most of my vacation time for the year already!

Blooming Hydrangeas - Show and Tell Friday

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday!

As you can see, my hydrangeas are blooming!  A few months back...I think it was around February I pulled out my lace-cap hydrangea that I planted when I first moved here 10 years ago and replaced it with this Nikko Blue Hydrangea.  I just wasn't happy with the blooms on the lace-cap and I've always wanted a Nikko Blue. I'm so happy I did this! This plant has grown so fast and is already full of blooms!  If it's this big the first year I can't wait to see it in the years to come!

I'm always torn on whether to leave the flowers on the bush or cut them for bouquets! I've decided to cut a few of them to cheer up my bedroom! I would love to have a huge garden and grow lots of hydrangeas but I'm happy to have just two for now!  The other one just started blooming so it will be about another month before it's in full bloom.

I still have to go through the photos of my boyfriend's home in Hawaii. I hope to go through those and post them next week.

Hawaii - Show and Tell Friday

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday!

I've been in Hawaii for the past week and got home in the wee hours this morning (Wednesday).  We were supposed to get home last night but our flight was delayed.  I usually do my Show and Tell posts on Wednesday evenings so it can go up at 6pm Pacific Time on Thursday evening.  Since I've had very little sleep (I went to sleep sometime after 3am) and had to work today I don't have the energy to go through my photos to share with you. I had planned on sharing the inside of my boyfriend's townhouse with you but instead I'll share those next week and just share the outside of it with you now. I'm so tired I can hardly even think well enough to type this right now!   The photo above is his townhouse and...

...these are photos I took looking down each end of his street. It's a beautiful place!  A tropical paradise!

I'll share the inside photos with you next week!  I'm off to bed now!

Aloha - Show and Tell Friday

Welcome to Show and Tell Friday!  I'm in Hawaii (the Big Island) again so I only have vacation photos to share this week!  I arrived around 10:00 am Hawaiin time on Tuesday morning so I've only been here two days so far.  I wish you could feel the warm tropical breezes! They are wonderful!

We went to the pool the first day and the beach yesterday! 

Allens's daughter and 4 year old grandson are here also and it was nice to finally meet them after hearing so much about them!  They've already been here a week so they leave tonight and Allen and I leave next Tuesday.

I bought this big hat last summer and I wanted to bring it but it's so huge that I couldn't pack it. I had to carry it on the plane which was such a pain but I'm happy I did because it really keeps the sun off my face!  I always buy hats and then never wear them so I'm glad I'm finally using this!

One of my favorite Hawaiian drinks...a Lava Flow! This was taken poolside at Allen's townhouse my first day here. The pool area is right by the ocean...it's so beautiful here!

We're off to the pool now...see you here next week...
